KCS STEM workshop at Terraset Elementary School

KCS Workshop at Terraset Elementary

Working with the Kerala Cultural Society (KCS), InspireLabs STEM visited Terraset Elementary School for a community STEM day. Students designed and assembled Sun Layers Fans—stacking and comparing materials to see how each layer changed temperature and airflow when exposed to light.

The session paired hands-on building with group discussion, helping students connect classroom science to real-world energy questions. KCS volunteers and InspireLabs mentors supported each team, making the workshop collaborative, welcoming, and focused on discovery.

LBES 2026 STEM Workshop

InspireLabs STEM recently hosted a hands-on workshop at Little Bennett Elementary School (LBES) in Clarksburg, MD, where students built their own Sun Layers Fan. Through this activity, students explored how sunlight interacts with different materials and how layering affects heat and airflow.

By testing their designs, students learned key concepts about solar energy in a fun, interactive way—encouraging creativity, curiosity, and a deeper interest in STEM.

Rockville Science Center Workshop

The InspireLabs STEM team recently hosted a hands-on workshop at the Rockville Science Center, where students explored the science of aerodynamics by designing and building their own paper airplanes. Through testing different designs and making adjustments, students learned how wing shape, balance, and structure affect flight performance. The activity encouraged creativity, experimentation, and a deeper interest in STEM through fun, interactive learning.

Igniting young minds, one spark at a time! InspireLabs STEM is on a mission to make science fun, hands-on, and accessible for every student—especially in underserved communities.

We recently held a STEM workshop at Little Bennett Elementary School in Clarksburg, MD, where students engaged in exciting hands-on activities. We also partnered with a local FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team to provide real-world demos and mentorship!
